Adele’s timeless fashion style has made her stand out in the industry and seems to have already sent a powerful message with her look in her Elle cover interview and on stage at the recent Grammy Awards.
Pistons legend Ben Wallace tweeted a photo of the Elle cover and Adele wearing a white trouser suit from Storme Optique, styled by Julien Connell:
“As a guy, I found it refreshing and interesting to see a woman with such confidence in her looks and appearance. To see a strong woman. And to see this woman is like… Adele.”
@AlisonAlder The other day I spotted a video of @adele on @els_teen, which showed the first part of her interview with @VanityFair. The other part they missed was a portrait shot by the great @BrinlyTeese. What I love about this portrait is it looks like the contents of a Shabbat dinner for a really, really special friend. #hairstyleofthedinnerhouse A post shared by Storme Ottaway (@storme_oitaway) on Oct 22, 2017 at 8:03am PDT
“As a guy, I found it refreshing and interesting to see a woman with such confidence in her looks and appearance. To see a strong woman. And to see this woman is like… Adele,” Alder wrote on Twitter about the cover, which shows the top half of Adele’s face.
Adele told Vogue in the Elle interview that the first time she met Oprah, a glamorous adele posed in a white suit with a feather boa:
“A golden star.”
The current style in fashion is “textural,” Ben has been following her go-to statement pieces on Instagram, but that lack of recent attention may be part of the reason for the somewhat old-school style choice:
“I wasn’t expecting any kind of vibe from her in this era of sensation.”
Sure, this may not necessarily be something people thought would have been shown a lot of wear, but the public has reacted to Adele’s style choice, and the look is making people (unexpectedly) proud of what other women could have been hiding in their closets.
Thank you @Adele for reminding us that you can look effortless and cool and not need a lot of effort. #adele A post shared by Aiden Connell (@e_connell23) on Jan 25, 2019 at 8:00am PST
Neither @Adele, nor @StormeOptique had comment on the matter.
