Picking out a fun event to attend is always tricky because you want something that is a little different from your next party. I’m not someone who likes parties that have a theme (see my fondness for heading to black tie events), so I try to avoid events that tend to have a theme.
Toronto is all about fun in the summer, so it’s easy to find something that is fun, yet unique. Here are a few of my top picks for the fantastic events in Toronto this summer.
Echo Beach Summer Music Festival is a super fun event that was voted “The Best Summer Music Festival in Canada” in 2015 and “The Best Summer Music Festival in North America” in 2014. Headlining this year are Empire of the Sun, Taron Egerton, Tasha Kheiriddin, Beardy & the Bananarama, and Blackberry Smoke. Echo Beach is a top destination for the summer summer and you will be thrilled with this amazing lineup! – ebeachfestival.com
South Queensway on Summer Showdown is all about street performers and performers are everywhere in Toronto! There is The All Star Squares that can be seen at Eaton Centre during their Winter Festivals, Tone Groove, and Lend A Hand. – southqueensway.com
Under the Big Top at the Nathan Phillips Square Free Festival is definitely an event that I have attended in the past and I can safely say that it is the best party you can go to in Toronto. It has been growing in popularity since 2007 and is a great event that is for everyone.
The festival is an outdoor stage where the city’s best street performers and other vendors perform. There is also a street fair inside Nathan Phillips Square, which includes over 50 artisans, free concerts, a kids zone and food vendors. – ticketmaster.ca
I Met A Canadian – Toronto’s first all-American Music Festival is a great way to enjoy all of the things that Canadians are known for in the summer. You have country music, jazz, bluegrass, and the best of both worlds. You can learn how to make your own hot dog, learn all about maple syrup and go on a sausage crawl in the city! It is the perfect event to check out when you love country music. – mientocritcal.com
Black Swan – Backyard Electric Rodeo is a very interesting fundraiser that provides discounted tickets for those with cancer in Toronto. The Rodeo happens when you walk in the door and it just has a lot of energy going on inside the show. It is a place where you can just go there and sit back, enjoy the music and not have to worry about the weather. – bnsneeldrugetonodeo.com
Speaking of weather, this is a fun rain date and is perfect for a fun event to attend when you have a weekday night off and can’t decide where to go next. Warm or cool?
Have fun enjoying the Toronto summer, we hope to see you at any of the events listed below! – rheereason.com
